nEW Festival 2009
Celebrating our 6th season nEW 2009 establishes a continuum of support for artists and art making since 2003. In residence at the Universtiy of the Arts School of Dance, nEW provides opportunites for choreographic research, professional development, peer mentorship and audience response in a variety of programs including master classes, studio showings and performances in three week programs which are held annually in January and June. Our aim is to foster research and creative exchange among artists and to engage audiences in our work.

nEW 2008
The 2008 festival increased the number of resident artists from 3 to 6. Festival production featured the premiere of Megan Mazarick’s “Roadkill” and introduced 2008-09 resident artists;Jaamil Kosoko/PerFORMance,Olive Prince Dance,Charles Anderson Dancetheatrex,Jeffrey Gunshol,Eun Jung Choi-Gonzalez andGabrielle Revlock in “Dancehouse”. We inaugurated the Community Class series in June and held our first “Meet the Artists/See the Work” event as a way for audiences to become familiar with the artists process from the studio to the stage.

nEW 2007
The 2007 festival became more research driven including the residency of three artist/companies and Master Teacher Hellmut Gottschild. nEW Festival performances featured work by Melanie Stewart Dance Theatre, Cie Herve-Gil, Karl Schappell/Pluck, Tania Isaac Dance and our incoming 2008 resident artists; Meghan Durham/Merge Dance, Scrap Performance Group and Megan Mazarick who previewed works in Dancehouse.
